HillBilly Bling!!

I am very excited to introduce you to a brand new polish system, Hill Billy Bling!
This system was developed by Mary and Danny and it is inspired by the metal flake paint process that they use on the classic cars they restore. I personally love the metal flake finish on classic cars, so when I heard of this I offered my blog for their first official review. So without further ado:

I was at a birthday party when I heard about this polish. My friend was talking to someone I didn't know about polish, my ears burned and I stepped in. Mary went into detail about how they created this polish and then this company and how they would be at a car show in a week to show it off and sell the kits.  This is their booth:

Mary was doing toes to show off their polish!
This one is SweetPea:

And this is the packaging, super cute!

I love green, so naturally, that is the color I got!

In the Kit, you get:

Base Color and Top Coat:

The base color is a kelly green jelly. It went on pretty smoothly, was a little streaky and thin, but it was just to give a background to the glitter, so I only used one coat.

Glitter:

The glitter is super shiny green mini rectangles. I haven't seen glitter like this before.

And Witty Instructions:

First, paint the base color(really first put on your base coat to protect your nails as always!):

Put a little Glitter and Top Coat in the extra empty container:

Paint the glitter over the base coat and when that's dry add the top coat, Voila:

Indirect Natural Light

Sunshine!

Oh, so glittery and beautiful! The other colors are Red, Gold, Purple, and Orange. The only awesome color name I can remember other than the green is Statutory Grape, lol.

This was actually a pretty easy look to accomplish, just follow the directions. The art didn't work so well, the glitter didn't leave a clean line after the tape was removed. But for a full coverage polish it looks great. You can't tell from my pic but it really looks like the car finish. It has a great depth to it, and the colors are vibrant and gorgeous. I had a hard time deciding between the colors, except gold, I'm not a fan of gold in general, but it was super bright and shiny.

There isn't a website yet, but if you are interested in purchasing this awesome new idea in nail lacquer, let me know. You can email me at arpostels[at]gmail[dot]com. I can get a hold of Mary and Danny and get it to you!

Tell me what you think about this idea and the look. Tell me how you feel about the process or the name. We want feedback!

As always, Happy Manicures

MOAR SKULLS!!!

I was so happy with Blue Me by Blackheart, that I had to go get more.  I now have a family of Seven Blackheart Nail Lacquers! They are available at Hot Topic stores and Hot Topic Online for just $5(plus shipping if you order online). They are vegen friendly, which I'm not sure if that really means anything in polish.  They smell funny, and it makes me sneeze, but they are by far the best polishes I own.  The formula is incredible. Super smooth, super shiny, and gorgeous!  I want the rest of the line. Here's what I have so far:

If I could figure out how to do a page break I would.  This is a pic heavy post and I apologize if this sucks for you.

Here are the individual bottles and swatches.  All of them are 3 coats, no top coat. I didn't use a top coat because they all have unique finishes.

Beautiful Revenge

This one is like a jelly sandwich in a bottle.  This is three coats and I think it is perfect.  The glitter is well proportioned and it covers nicely.

WTFuchsia

This one is a nice neon-ish fuchsia.  I say neon-ish because it doesn't dry as matte as my other neons but it has a nice satin finish.

Violet Tendancies

This one is so pretty! I'll have to do a comparison because it looks exactly like the purple color club franken I did a while back Purple Paradise.  This is from me remembering the color though so they could be quite different.

Shocking Pink

I think this one has a crappy name.  I mean Shocking Pink? Come on.  It's more of a coral anyways.  But it does have a nice satin finish and is a great color.  I'm excited to wear this one.

Deceit

I have a teal like this from Zoya, but this one has tiny glitter along with the flakies.  The jelly base is super squishy too.  I love this one, I wanna layer it over shocking pink!

Blue Me

This one I've already reviewed but I love it so much I can't stop talking about it.  I'm wearing it right now and it's the second time I've worn it.  I am all about art but this one is so gorgeous I do very minimal stuff to it.  It is super shiny, super jelly, and super fantastic. Ok, I'll stop now. LOL

P.S. This one is black light responsive! My phone has a nervous breakdown when I try to photograph it, but it is super cool, trust me.

Creep Show

I also really like this one.  It doesn't get very opaque on real nails, but it'd be awesome over a lime neon.  I've seen it over white and it really tames down and doesn't look as toxic.  Anyways it's got glitter in it and it glows in the dark. Win!

I love these polishes and I recommend everyone buy them. If you like bright colors, these are it.  There are also a lot more black light and glowy ones, I'll get those next.

Hope you enjoyed these!

Happy Manicures!

Oh, P.S. Do you like my new watermark?

Skulls!!!

Ok, so this is one of the first times I have posted about something the day I did it.  I bought the polish yesterday, tried it, and loved it instantly.  But, then I stamped all over it and made it look stupid.  Sometimes less is more, so I took it all off and repainted, then put just a line of green pearls on my ring fingers.  So gorgeous! Makes me think of dinosaurs. Rawr!
This polish was mentioned on Macabre Manicures and then Eskimo Pie sent me a message on Facebook saying this polish made her think of me because its in a skull shaped bottle!  So, of course, I had to have some.  I got this beautiful blue called Blue Me (black light responsive) and a sparkly green called Creep Show (glow-in-the-dark).  Both are a dream jelly! They go on super smooth and glossy and so squishy! They are from a new line at hot topic, called Black Heart.  I expected a crappy polish from hot topic as most of their stuff is awful, but I really wanted the bottle.  So I got some and I am very pleasantly surprised! I will be buying more. I took pics, but sadly my camera curls up in the fetal position and starts sobbing when I try to take black light pics. Believe me though, it is awesome! And now, without any more ado, the pics!

Super cute bottles yeah? I wanted them just for the bottles but after falling in love with the formula, I now have a legit reason to buy them.  Plus, they're only $5! Epic win!

Product Feature: OPI Nail Envy

So, Today I think I will tell you about one(of many) of my favorite products.  This is a great nail strengthener by OPI called Nail Envy.  I use it under every mani I do.  Before I started using it, my manis wouldn't last long, my nails would flake and peel and with it would come the polish.  I didn't think there was anything I could do until I saw one of the blogs I follow, (probably Nailasaurus, Polishaholic, or Let Them Have Polish, let me know if you use it too!)  It was quite a while ago so I don't remember exactly who mentioned it.  I went in search of this amazing thing.  I found it, at $16.99 a bottle! Whew! Way too much for my little budget.  But I had tried a ton of others with absolutely no results.  I decided to try this stuff even with the giant price tag. (should've started at ebay where I recently found 2 bottles for $11.95, *facepalm) I will never put regular polish directly on my nail again! This is the most amazing product I have ever used! I have strong long non-peeling nails all thanks to OPI Nail Envy. It's amazing! It's actually hard to clip my nails, they are so thick and strong. Try it. It's awesome.

Also, here is my new favorite polish again in a spongy mani.  Color Club - Take wing, With Orly - Dazzle, and Wet n Wild - Black Creme`. Love this!

So, I hope you like my little showcase and I hope it helps you out!

Happy Manicures!

disclaimer: I was not contacted by OPI in any way and I decided to do this review of my own accord.
