SweetPea's Nails

So last week I painted SweetPea's nails.  I found these super cheap fimo canes on amazon, you have to slice them yourself, but they are super cute.
The glitter was actually thicker than it looks.  Right now she is making some swatches for her colors.  I love it, it's so cute.

Such a boring day, torrential rain, blah.

St. Patty's Day!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!! I love this holiday.  I have no idea why, I just do. So, I did my nails:

Base: Liquid Vinyl by Orly
Green: Sa-Green-a the Teenage Witch by Wet n Wild
Gold: Luxe by Orly

Uh... This totally reminds me of cool runnings.  Great design, don't get me wrong, I liked it alot. One thing that was cool is that I tried something new.  Normally I use scotch tape for lines. But I also get really impatient.  You know what works great for straight lines and lightly sticks to slightly wet nails? Saran Wrap. Yup, just cut it in small strips, press into place, and it works just like tape to mask off areas of color. It was pretty genius, but not really what I wanted, so let's try this again...

Base: Nail Envy by OPI
Tips: Sa-Green-a The Teenage Witch by Wet n Wild
Accents: Luxe by Orly

Oh! Look how Irish-y those are! (I apologize if that offended any Irish folk out there, I am also Irish, does that help?)For these ones I used the special french nail stickers to mask.  I did a layer of green first and then the gold.  The coins and shamrocks were done with dotting tools.  Sorry about the lame pics, I still haven't found a good way to take the photos.  But this is a work in progress. Ok, now I feel better having posted.

Nebula Nails!

Ok, so instead of doing my homework and making a website about space, I painted my nails like space.  Inspired by these nails by The Nailasaurus (yes, that's three different links, click them all), these nails by PolishAholic, and these nails at Let Them Have Polish. There, I think I covered all the beautiful nail bloggers that inspire me on a daily basis.  I guess this was a 31 day challenge in October.  I am going to have to keep up on that and participate at some point.  Anyway, on to the pix.

So, there ya have it, I hope it'll look a little better next time now that I know what I'm doing, but I was so excited I had to share anyways.  You wanna see my rat?
Her name is Monkey and she is mostly hairless, isn't she the cutest?
Ok, it's time for dinner.
